The WCKA  “King of Clubs” Tournament was held in June last month where some of the students of the Welsh Academy of Martial Arts attended with the following results:

Winner young Kyron Caddick took 1st place in points to seal the “King of Clubs” trophy. Also taking 1st  Place in the Team Event, where the team came 2nd.  3rd place in the Light Contact Section.

An outstanding display of martial arts from this young 7 year old.  He amazed all instructors, audience and competitors with his lightening speed.  Kyron just being 4ft tall beat opponents twice the size, and older than him.  A wonderful day for him, his instructor, his mum and his club.

Kiya Glanville took 3rd place in the points section.  Kiya is normally a full contact fighter, but did extremely well in the points this time.  Well Done Kiya.

Corrina Savage a novice and beginner is a lady kickboxer and this being her very first tournament.   Corrina took 3rd place in the Light contact section. An excellent day for Corrina.

James and Jordan Sheekey took on opponents much large and older than themselves, and performed an excellent display of martial arts. Their instructor being commended by other instructors for their performance.  However, due to the size of their opponents they unfortunately didn`t get a place this time.  Unlucky boys, better luck next time.

Kyle Savage, Corrinas` son, also a novice, and beginner, tried very hard in his very first tournament but was beaten in the third round of fighting.  Well Done Kyle.

A day of congratulations all round for these very brave students who entered into a tournament fighting opponents bigger than them.  Well Done.

.  He will now be competing in the World Championships to be held in Canada November 2005.
