Students of the Welsh Academy of Martial Arts/YMCA Karate and Kickboxing Club ended the year with outstanding performances from the following students.

Outstanding performance by beginner Gaffain Hill who  fought all through his category to take 3rd Place. 20 fighters in this category.

Hannah Harvey who fought larger opponents to take 1st place.

James Sheekey 1st Light continuous

Chantelle Hellings 1st Light continous and 1st Semi Contact

Jordan Sheekey - hey nearly there Jordan. 2nd place.  1st next time Jordan. 2nd Light Continous. 12 fighters in this category

Outstanding performance by David Debono who lost his final by 1 point. Took 3rd place Semi-Contact.  1st next time David. 20 fighters in this category. Well Done

Another outstanding peformance by Chris Short who took 2nd place Light Continous. A ver large category.  Well Done

Thomas Harris 3rd place Semi-Contact.  Again a very large category

Christopher Brown who represented Wales in the World Championships a while ago and hasn`t trained for over a year came 2nd Light Continuous and 3rd Semi-Contact.

Well Done to All.

 

All  these students are a credit to their instructors.  Well done to you all.  WAMA has had a tremendous year on the fighting circuit producing students to World Class Status,who will be representing Wales in the Forthcoming World Championships and the Olympic Games:
